- In February 2026, the CPI (consumer price index) rose by 0.64% compared to the previous month. After seasonal adjustment, the increase was 0.19%. Compared to the same month in 2025, the CPI rose by 1.75%. For the period of January–February, the average CPI increased by 1.23% year-on-year. In February 2026, the PPI (producer price index) rose by 0.74% month-on-month but decreased by 1.07% compared to the same month last year. For January–February, the average PPI fell by 1.33% year-on-year.
- The number of employed persons was 11.649 million, an increase of 4,000 (0.04%) from December 2025. The number of unemployed persons was 396,000, a decrease of 2,000 (0.33%) from the previous month. Stood at 59.61%, up 0.02 percentage points from the previous month. The unemployment rate was 3.29%, down 0.01 percentage points from the previous month. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained steady at 3.36%.
- In December 2025, the average regular earnings of full-time domestic employees in the industrial and service sectors was NT$51,263, representing a month-on-month (MoM) increase of 0.54% and a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 3.11%. Non-regular earnings, which include bonuses and overtime pay, averaged NT$15,148. Combined, the average total earnings reached NT$66,411, reflecting a MoM growth of 7.94% and a YoY growth of 2.01%. During the same month, the median regular earnings was NT$40,324, rising by 0.48% from the previous month and 3.01% from the previous year. For the full year of 2025, the average monthly regular earnings per person was NT$50,643, a YoY increase of 3.22%, while the median monthly regular earnings stood at NT$39,890, up 3.09% YoY. Furthermore, the average annual total earnings per person reached NT$806,448, marking a 3.89% increase compared to the previous year.
